The GAC fleet of purpose-built, fast, air conditioned supply and crew launches are operated round-the-clock from bases in Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. With cruising speeds of between 16 and 30 knots and a capacity of up to 100 passengers and 400 tons of cargo, GAC's supply boats can meet a vessel at any given position offshore Dubai, Fujairah or Ras Al Khaimah/Straits of Hormuz.

The fleet and equipment are maintained by GAC's workshop in Dubai. To stay at the forefront, the crew and supply boats are regularly replaced with new purpose-built models, to meet the special needs of services in these waters.

All arrivals and departures of crew, stores and spares are expedited via Dubai. GAC staff meet and transport crew members to the supply service bases in Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Dubai, the Co-ordinating Centre:

All agency and supply service activities are co-ordinated from GAC's office in Dubai, supported by modern, state-of-the-art communications facilities, including E-mail and Internet, as well as a computerised tracking and control system.

GAC Dubai is an ISO 9002 certified company. All supply operations follow the ISO standards adhered to by GAC, as certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Each supply is executed according to a checklist, to ensure a smooth performance.

The GAC Ships' Supply Service is a complete package incorporating support and logistics services, such as:

Representation of Principals and their interests at all times
24-hour service and communication facilities (365 days a year) at the GAC Operations Centre
Provision of information and back-up with local knowledge
"Meet-and-Greet" service for personnel arriving at Dubai airport
Transportation of crew and superintendents to and from vessels
Arranging visas and immigration formalities in compliance with local regulations
Hotel/air ticket reservations
Crew changes
Delivery of stores/spares/mail
Co-ordination of delivery for fresh water/lube oil/bunkers
Assistance in cases of emergency (e.g., repairs to engines, machinery, hull, electronic equipment, etc.) as well as slops removal, underwater hull cleaning and inspection.

GAC's Ships' Supply Service out of three locations in the UAE

To provide more suitable options to vessels passing in and out of Gulf waters and to vessels anchored off the UAE east and west coast, GAC Dubai operates Ships' Supply Services out of three locations, Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. This flexibility can save unnecessarily long trips or deviation to reach a rendezvous.

GAC's Ships' Supply Service in Sri Lanka

In addition to GAC's Ships' Supply Service in the Gulf, the GAC Group has, for some years now, also operated a supply service to vessels passing the major shipping lanes south of Sri Lanka, from the town of Galle near Dondra Head.

This service provides a viable alternative to embark or disembark crew/ superintendents/tank cleaning teams etc., before or after calling in the Gulf, thereby saving time and money and avoiding the long voyage to and from Singapore.
